Advocacy
What We Do
The Chamber’s advocacy efforts reflect the priorities of its members and the broader business community. These initiatives are shaped through the expertise of dedicated volunteers on the Policy and Advocacy Council and are carried out by Chamber staff through regular engagement with governments and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce network.

How Members Can Get Involved
Our advocacy efforts thrive on the active participation and support of our members. Members can directly engage with our staff, share input through surveys, and attend special roundtables with government stakeholders. Updates on our advocacy work are shared regularly via our website, the weekly Chamber Update newsletter, and social media channels, and are often featured by local, national, and international media outlets.
Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee identifies issues that are important to the local business community and works to develop initiatives to present to political decision-makers, drawing on the support and advice of the highly-respected Ontario and Canadian Chambers of Commerce.

Internet in the County
Broadband Internet
Broadband Internet
In collaboration with the County of Brant, your Chamber of Commerce is working to advocate for better internet throughout the County, particularly in rural areas. County Council has approved the Chamber's proposal to create a joint Broadband Task Force called "Brant Connects" to develop a Broadband Strategy/Action Plan, to provide a road map for delivery of faster, more reliable and affordable internet, including identifying priority projects. Check this webpage for more information. If you have any comments or experiences with your internet service you want to share, contact Pamela DeVries at pldevries@rogers.com or Dave Cash at cashdjd@gmail.com.
